1977 Pontiac Trans Am, Smokey and the Bandit- Director Hal Needham couldn't have predicted the impact that car would have on America. After audiences saw that Trans Am slide around corners, leap over broken bridges and evade Sheriff Buford T. Justice, they wanted to be behind the wheel of a black and gold T/A. Sales leaped by about 30,000 cars from 1977 to 1978 and by another 24,000 for 1979.

1932 Ford Coupe, American Graffiti- Some might not know, but George Lucas shot American Graffiti, a reflection of his memories of the car culture in California in the 1960s. The recognized Deuce Coupe was powered by a Chevy 327 V8 and sits a little tall in the rear for some seriously cool rake.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12, Back to the Future- Let's not forget this little gem. John DeLorean's DMC-12 was a stainless steel stunner designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro and under the hood, a pokey 130-hp 2.9-liter V6. Its futuristic looks combined with a bit of movie magic gave the DeLorean legendary status, but in real life, the DeLorean flopped on the market in the 1980s.

I Think He Forgot Something So this is funny. But according to nwitimes.com , a 33-year-old suspect made his getaway after robbing a convenience store but didn't get far. The guy had robbed a LaCrosse gas station after he informed the store clerk he had a gun. The suspect, Sean Harris, made off with food, beverage items, and cigarettes… but no money! I guess the guy was super hungry since the report stated he had a blood alcohol level higher than the limit for legally operating a motor vehicle. Harris fled the gas station, with whatever he could carry, when an Indiana State Police trooper came upon the getaway car. Not in some crazy high-speed chase, or from using some awesome spy satellite that Vin Diesel uses in all his action films. NOPE! Harris’ vehicle ran out of gas. That’s right, he forgot to steal some fuel before making off with his goodies. The Indiana State Police trooper found his vehicle stopped along a two-lane highway. Harris is being held in jail without bail.
