Chevy Silverado

Chevy Silverado 1500

MotorTrend- The Chevy Silverado has always carried everything between being a luxury truck to a work pickup. Chevy Silverado comes in three cab types, two-bed lengths, and a towing capacity of up to 12,500 pounds. One thing is for sure, every task is met with the Silverado.
Originally, the Silverado name was used as a trim level for trucks that Chevrolet manufactured until 1998. The first-generation Chevrolet Silverado was in production from 1999-2006 model years. It offered three engine choices; a 4.3-liter V-6, a 4.8-liter V-8, and a 5.3-liter V-8. They were paired to either a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission. In 2003, the Silverado SS was introduced. It was powered by a 6.0 liter V-8 with 345-hp and 380 lb-ft torque mated to a four-speed automatic. The second generation model came out in 2007 and was in production until the 2013 model year. And with that, a 403-hp 6.2-liter V-8 was added. One unique feature that was added to the Silverado 1500’s V-8 engines for the second generation was cylinder deactivation, which allows the engine to operate in four-cylinder mode for improved fuel economy.
The current third-generation Chevrolet Silverado 1500 now features a direct injection and cylinder deactivation for improved fuel economy and performance in its engines. Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment system is also available, and it now has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration.
The Chevy Silverado 1500 offers two powerful V-8 trucks and the MyLink multimedia interface which allow you to do any work out of your truck. But if diesel-powered full-size pickup is what you are looking for, the Silverado 1500 isn't the truck. The Silverado Heavy Duty offers the oil-burning powertrains you need.

Classic Automobile Features in You Won't See in Modern Cars

Classic Features Classic Features in Cars You Won’t See Today Who knows what kids will reminisce about years from now about their first car. Heck, there’s a chance vehicle won’t run on gasoline anymore, and that is something they will look back on and find nostalgic. Vehicles can start with the push of a button on your keychain, you can open the hatchback with the swipe of your foot, and heated seats (my personal favorite) are just a few features you can find in cars today. Here are a few classic features you won’t see today but were the best. Oldies and Goodies One of my favorites, bench seats. For some reason, I always thought they were fun as a kid, but looking back now, I realize how horrible they really were. Being squished between two adults was actually uncomfortable during long rides. I guess as a kid, you feel the front seat was larger than it really was, and sometimes you had it all to yourself- that’s fun. I’m sure several teenage boys took advantage of the seat design...
