As a kid, that movie made me afraid of my grandpa’s 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Car, afraid it would gobble my brother and me while waiting for my grandpa to emerge from the convenient store. Over the years I got over it, but not before scaring my brother with stories about grandpa’s car crushing him if he didn’t leave me alone. After watching the movie, I wanted to learn a little bit about the car and movie. Are Thinking About Downsizing Your Vehicle? Having a large vehicle is wonderful if you have a large family, but once everyone is gone and you and your spouse are left with an empty nest, it may be nice to downsize to a vehicle that is not only smaller but one that makes sense depending on your situation. While having a big SUV is nice because of how spacious it is, it can also be uneconomical. Smaller vehicles can benefit from lower repair costs, such as tires or breaks because they don’t cost as much. Downsizing to a smaller vehicle can possibly put you in a better financial position which can free up extra money to put into other investments. Depending on where you live, work and regularly drive to, owning a smaller car can be a lot better for driving, especially if you don’t need to make those drives to practice, to and from school, and so on.
