Classic Cars You Have Seen in Movies

Classic Cars You Have Seen in Movies You have seen then in many movies, The Fast and Furious chain, Mad Max, or James Bond, and we all love them and want one. Popular Mechanics put together a list of cars that have been seen in classic movies, some you have seen and some you need to go out and rent, trust me. Check Them Out 1964 Aston Martin DB5, Goldfinger- James Bond's legacy of famous cars and far-out gadgets can be traced back from one car—the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 007 driven in Goldfinger and Thunderball. Even without the spy modifications, (included ram bumper, machine guns, ejector seat, smoke screen, or oil-slick sprayer), it is still a work of art. 1977 Pontiac Trans Am, Smokey and the Bandit- Director Hal Needham couldn't have predicted the impact that car would have on America. After audiences saw that Trans Am slide around corners, leap over broken bridges and evade Sheriff Buford T. Justice, they wanted to be behind the wheel of a black and gold T/A

I Think He Forgot Something

I Think He Forgot Something So this is funny. But according to nwitimes.com , a 33-year-old suspect made his getaway after robbing a convenience store but didn't get far. The guy had robbed a LaCrosse gas station after he informed the store clerk he had a gun. The suspect, Sean Harris, made off with food, beverage items, and cigarettes… but no money! I guess the guy was super hungry since the report stated he had a blood alcohol level higher than the limit for legally operating a motor vehicle. Harris fled the gas station, with whatever he could carry, when an Indiana State Police trooper came upon the getaway car. Not in some crazy high-speed chase, or from using some awesome spy satellite that Vin Diesel uses in all his action films. NOPE! Harris’ vehicle ran out of gas. That’s right, he forgot to steal some fuel before making off with his goodies. The Indiana State Police trooper found his vehicle stopped along a two-lane highway. Harris is being held in jail without bail.

Lego Engines

Lego Engines roadandtrack.com - Legos have been a classic favorite that is still going strong. I have always enjoyed watching my boy’s play and build very intricate buildings and cars. But this trend is taking Lego building to a whole new level. I’m sure you remember when the little boy knocked over the $15,000 Lego statue! Well, these automotive-themed builds are just as detailed and took hours to build. This recent trend involves Lego builders on YouTube building complex engines and hooking them up to electric motors with the sole purpose of spinning them to destruction. Yes, you read that right. Who would not love spending hours building the best thing you have ever built, only to destroy it. -I’m raising my hand by the way. Road and Track first discovered this happening with a video shared by Digg , and you know how that goes… far down the rabbit hole. YouTuber sayaman made another video with an engine using grapeseed oil as a lubricant. The pistons gave out. A couple of oth

The Plymouth Roadrunner

The Plymouth Roadrunner All Par - If you have not noticed, the Road Runner was named based on the classic cartoon, and it was totally awesome that the horn actually went beep beep! and the ad campaign featured Wiley Coyote. Many had steering wheels with a little Road Runner logo, and air cleaners with the logo “Coyote Duster.” The Superbird put a huge, helmeted Roadrunner onto its massive rear spoiler. The Roadrunner was a favorite of moonshiners. It was faster than police cars and was able to take a pounding on chases. The 1968 offered high-power, was light weight and had a strong engine, all with a budget price of $714 at that time. So they were lighter and cheaper. You’ll see several today due to their build from steel. The idea behind the Road Runner had been running around Highland Park but was turned down by management. Reportedly, it was pushed through “despite” upper-management opposition, and on a minimal budget. In 1968, the base engine was a specially modified 383 V8

Get Your Car Ready for Winter

Get Your Car Ready for Winter If you live in states that don’t really experience winters or cold weather than this read is not for you. Those of us who know what winter really is, know that you not only get your wardrobe and home ready, but your vehicle needs to be ready as well. today.com has a few tips that can be life-saving. Tips to Remember Getting the right kind of oil change can keep it running with no problems during the cold season.  Oil tends to thicken as it gets colder, and if it’s too thick, it won’t do the best job of keeping your engine lubricated. Refer to your owner’s manual about which oil to use. I’m guilty of this, but replacing your windshield wiper blades, so they are working properly can save your life. You need to be able to see during a snowstorm. Remember to fill up your windshield washer reservoir with windshield washer fluid. Using plain water isn’t a good idea during this time, water freezes. Also, make sure your car’s heater and defroster are w
