Ahh, That New Car Smell On my way to work this morning, I was listening to my usual radio show when a particular commercial caught my attention. The radio hosts were advertising a car dealership, and they began to discuss how their favorite part of buying a new car is the “new car” smell. They were all in agreement that the only way to get the new car smell was to buy a new car. Granted you can buy sprays or ornaments to get the smell, but it's not the genuine smell. They went on to say that the new car scent fresheners are no comparison to the actual real new car scent. So, in short, the reason you should buy a new car is so that you can have a vehicle that has that authentic new car smell. Yes, this is just as ridiculous as it sounds! No one should invest in a brand new car with a six-year car note just to have two weeks of a “new car” smell. Summer Sports   Well, it’s that time a year again, summer sports season. Many of our children are in athletic events such as baseball, soccer, basketball, track, etc. For those of us who have children who are not athletically inclined maybe they are starting a new dance season, gymnastics season, or piano. Whatever the activity, this time of year, we find ourselves spread very thin as we try to get our children from place to place or practice to practice. There are those of us that volunteer to help other parents out by taking other teammates to and from practice and games as well. I’m sure most of you have heard the term ‘soccer mom.’ Stereotypically when you hear the words soccer mom, we imagine a mom supporting her child and their team, driving the minivan full of screaming and laughing children, all while lugging around a plethora of sports equipment.
